Illinois Action for Children envisions a future in which every family in the United States has equitable access to affordable, high-quality child care and early education in the community. Since 1969 IAFC has worked to provide access to vital resources and opportunities to children and their families, so that every child may succeed in school and in life.

To accomplish our goal, we consider the needs of the whole child in developing programs, initiatives, and strategies that support their learning and growth directly, and through strengthening their families, communities, and the early childhood sector and system.

During these unprecedented times, the tens of thousands of families with children and early childhood professionals who rely on IAFCs programs and services need our support now more than ever.

Your contribution will help us meet the exacerbated needs of those living in under-resourced communities of color, many of which are also communities—the most vulnerable and hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even with the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, we are going to be #InThisTogether for many months to come. With your generosity, we can continue working tirelessly (and safely) to reduce the long-term, detrimental physical/mental/emotional health, social, and economic effects of COVID-19 on children and families—helping them achieve the relief, recovery, and resilience they desperately need and deserve.

Together, we can accomplish our shared vision of a future in which all children thrive!
