Choua Vue is the Senior Vice President of Policy, Research, and Community Impact. In this new role, she is responsible for advancing the organization's mission, vision, and values by developing programs, research, and policy innovation by strengthening and improving early care and educational opportunities locally and nationally. Choua oversees programs that develop effective family engagement, community partnerships, and community systems building locally. She also advances the organization's advocacy, policy, and research priorities to ensure racial equity and improved systems and policies for communities, families, and children in Illinois.
Prior to Illinois Action for Children, Choua advocated for policy changes on education and child welfare for Asian American and Pacific islanders in New York City and immigrant and refugee rights with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
Choua earned her Masters of Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelors degree in American Studies from Carleton College.
