Thanks to your relentless advocacy efforts, eligibility to the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) has been completely restored! Families in non-TANF education and training programs and families earning up to 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), once again have access to child care assistance after two long years.
Last month, Governor Rauner announced he would restore income eligibility to CCAP from 162% of FPL, back to 185% of FPL. The Illinois Department of Human Services has announced the CCAP income restoration is effective October 1st.
This restoration would not have been possible without the senators and representatives who voted for a full-year, fully funded budget with revenue. Be sure to contact your legislators to thank them for their vote!

Gracias a sus esfuerzos incesantes de abogacía, la elegibilidad para el Programa de Asistencia para El Cuidado de Niño (CCAP) ha sido completamente restaurada! El mes pasado, el Gobernador Rauner anunció que restauraría la elegibilidad de ingresos para CCAP del 162% del FPL, de nuevo al 185% del FPL. El Departamento de Servicios Humanos de Illinois ha anunciado que la restauración de ingresos para CCAP es efectiva desde el 1ro de octubre.
